British full fiber network operator brsk has confirmed its fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) infrastructure is now available to 200,000 premises, ISPreview reports, more than double the 100,000 homes and businesses it reported as being covered back in November 2022.
Commenting on the development, brsk COO and co-founder Ian Kock said: ‘Reaching the 200,000 homes passed within a short period is a fantastic achievement for us. We learned many lessons about scaling a FTTP fibre rollout in another market, and this experience has been invaluable for a quick ramp up of our build. A combination of importing fibre skills, working with quality partners and getting to scale quickly has meant that we are one of the most efficient network builders in the UK.’
Meanwhile, alongside confirming its current coverage level brsk has reportedly detailed the next locations where it plans to deploy its infrastructure as it looks to achieve a self-set target of reaching one million premises by 2026. Areas included in the company’s plans include parts of Lancashire, Manchester, the West Midlands and West Yorkshire.
