Vision Network completes speed upgrades for more premises, adds additional retail partners

Vision Network, the wholesale fixed broadband arm of TPG Telecom, has announced that it has now completed speed upgrades for 295,000 premises. According to the company, since launching G.fast technology on its fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) network last year, it has since enabled ‘near-gigabit speeds’ across 83% of its footprint. Further, Vision Network confirmed that it has also now upgraded its HFC network in Victoria to enable download speeds of up to 1Gbps.

Alongside these developments related to downlink speeds, Vision Network also revealed that it has signed up four new retail service provider (RSP) partners, including wholesale aggregator Wireline. With these latest partner additions, Vision Network said it now has more than ten wholesale customers which are ready to serve end-users across 70 retail internet brands.

Vision Network offers connectivity via a raft of technologies, including: HFC in Geelong, Ballarat and Mildura, Victoria; FTTB and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) in metropolitan Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth; and fibre to-the-node (FTTN) services in Canberra. In total, around 400,000 premises are covered by the company’s infrastructure.
