Viaplay has signed a new distribution partnership with a Netherlands-based internet, television and telephone services provider.
Commencing 1 February, customers from KPN-owned Solcon will have free access the streaming service during the entire 2023 Formula 1 season. Current Solcon customers can also subscribe to Viaplay for a discounted price of €9.99 per month for the next six months, compared to the regular price of €15.99 per month from 1 March.
The partnership also includes a sports line-up of football from the Premier League, Bundesliga, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League, EFL Championship and Carabao Cup. In addition to PDC darts, Hoofdklasse field hockey, KSW mixed martial arts, IHF handball and more.
Since Viaplay’s launch in the Netherland’s last year, the platform has gained more than one million subscribers in the country. By the end of 2023, the company aims to have approximately four million subscribers in its international markets, including the Netherlands.
