Telia Lietuva has completed the deactivation of its 3G network in Lithuania, reports Verslo Zinios. The shutdown process began in Utena, Moletai, Ignalina and Svencionys in eastern Lithuania in March, followed by western regions in the summer before progressing to the country’s major cities, including the capital Vilnius, towards the end of the year.
The 3G spectrum is being refarmed for improving 4G network coverage and capacity, as well as the deployment of IoT technologies.
