NTC requests customers to migrate from copper to fiber

Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has requested copper-based internet customers to migrate to fiber-based services. Releasing a notice, the telco urged its voice and internet service subscribers to migrate to advanced NT Fiber service.

Ntc Provincial Directorate Kathmandu issued the notice with a plea for users to shift to new technology. The company has been expanding its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) service. In the meantime, it’s also replacing the dated Asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) service. Consistent with this, the company officially released the statement urging those still on traditional setups to upgrade to next-generation fiber services. If you are also on the traditional copper-line service, follow the post to learn how to upgrade your ADSL service to NT Fiber.

The company said the shift to NT Fiber is necessary to make its services more effective. Likewise, customers have also been requested to subscribe to the company’s voice, data, and IPTV services. Check out: ADSL Vs. FTTH Comparison; Which is the Best Internet Connection?

As most ISPs today offer fiber optics-based services, it’s only logical that Ntc is also shunning its dated service in favor of highly reliable connectivity. As per an NTA report, the company serves a strong base of 1 lakh, 97 thousand, 1 hundred, and 14 unique fiber internet subscribers.
