Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, announced its strategic partnership with Flare Fitness to sponsor the 7th ‘Flare Festival’ for the third year in a row, which was held at the Marina Crescent from November 3rd till the 5th. The fitness event is one of the largest of its kind in Kuwait and falls in line with some of the key objectives under stc’s corporate social responsibility framework.
stc released a statement highlighting the successful turnout witnessed during the Flare Festival as a large crowd of attendees gathered to watch the sports’ athletes battle it out for the various championship titles, where 2000 participants took part in the all festival tournaments with over 25000 attending the festival over the 3 days.
stc was recognized by the organizers, in the presence of the president of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Naser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, for its main sponsorship role during the closing ceremony where stc was represented by Ahmed Al Nowaibet, Public Relations and Social Media Manager. stc thanked all those who played a role in the successful event as the Company expressed that its participation and support towards such initiatives within the community builds on its strive to promote healthy living, amongst the youth.
The strategic partnership between stc and Flare Fitness was initially formed, and now renewed, to enhance the fitness scene in Kuwait. The fitness festival aimed to provide athletes with a recognized platform to compete in their favorite sports, while welcoming both athletes and guests from throughout the region. Athletes got a chance to compete in one of their favorite tournaments that include The Heat, The Hindrance Race, The Student Competition, The Barbell, The Gravity, The Padel, The Sea-Master, and the Knockout.
Throughout the festival, stc welcomed attendees and athletes at its booth where it held several small competitions with valuable prizes distributed to winners and participants. stc also provided visitors access to its full range of telecom and digital services at the booth. In addition to its sponsorship role, stc encouraged its employees to participate in the tournament as part of its continuous support to promote a healthy lifestyle at the workplace and encourage teamwork that will provide them with the necessary tools to thrive in their careers and personal lives, an approach that stc strongly supports.
