AT&T México streamlines customer service through the digital contract

With the aim of offering its customers an increasingly simple and uncomplicated experience, AT&T México is enabling the new digital contract in its stores: an equivalent to the contract with autograph signature, where the signature is done digitally through biometric authentication; which allows having at hand, electronically and immediately, the details of a contracted plan and/or equipment.

"Adopting a methodology of 'putting the customer at the center of everything' entails strong commitments that have inspired AT&T México to create a transversal team dedicated to providing better solutions for the experience of its customers," comments Irma Wilde, Vice President and General Director of Attention to Clients and Companies in AT&T México.

To carry out the signing of the digital contract, the authorization of the clients is requested to obtain a sample of their fingerprints, which are previously verified at a biometric level in compliance with the regulatory and security standards applicable by the Personal Data Law. (LDPPP). This data, which is not stored in AT&T's systems, allows us to verify a customer's identity and guarantee its security, as well as providing a comprehensive service in future requests. Once the contract is signed, a conservation certificate is generated that provides legal certainty to clients who receive the details of their contract by email, making their process not only more practical, but also environmentally friendly.

Among the benefits of using the digital contract is a significant reduction in time when going to a store to hire or renew a service, in addition to providing safer processes that help prevent identity theft, such as the generation of “unrecognized lines”.
