Belgian full-service operator Proximus is preparing to trial a new 10Gbps fibre connection ahead of an official launch in February 2023.
The new ‘Ultra Fiber’ packages, which increase the company’s current maximum downlink ten-fold, will be tested by 250 customers in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Liege and Namur later this year. Proximus states the EUR30 (USD30) a month package is expected to enable down/upload speeds of up to 8.5Gbps/1Gbps.
