Dubai’s latest developments and ground-breaking digital solutions will be on display at the 42nd edition of Gitex Global 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 10-14 October.
The emirate’s rapid technological advancements will be showcased at the Dubai Government’s joint pavilion at Gitex, organised by Digital Dubai, bringing together 33 government entities and seven digital leaders from the private sector.
The UAE has positioned itself as a pioneer in innovative digital initiatives that inspire the world, a leader in digital cities and a model for global digital cities.

Led by an ambitious government and a dedicated creative team, long-term success stories pave the way for an integrated, fully digital life. Dubai continues to dazzle the world with bold initiatives and innovative projects, the latest of which will be showcased at Gitex Global 2022, which will host over 4,500 exhibitors from over 170 countries.
Digital Dubai and its partners have now completed the finishing touches on the pavilion and the space allocated to each participating entity, and are now ready to welcome an estimated 100,000 visitors at Gitex Global 2022.
This year, Gitex will host 800 start-ups and 1,000 speakers as Dubai is fast becoming a global digital hub for those looking to grow digitally to serve people around the world.
Looking to the future
Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, Director General of Digital Dubai, said: “This year’s Gitex is different from other exhibitions as it is the first exhibition to be held in Phase 250 of the UAE. This year, the Dubai Government Pavilion is focusing on the development of technology and digital life. Going forward, reaffirming our determination to keep Dubai at the forefront of digital transformation and to remain a model of integrated, seamless services for the city of the future, based on the vision of its wise leadership and based on the capabilities of its employees and their application of the latest technologies and the ability to innovate to achieve happiness and well-being.
“This year, the Dubai Government Pavilion will highlight the emirate’s contribution to shaping future global trends and the digital transformation of the city, as well as an important forum for communication and interaction between technology industry leaders who want to learn about the Dubai experience, as well as discuss their ideas and experience.”
He added: “Gitex has been an important part of Dubai’s journey and story, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – the leader Man has long been ahead of his time, launching the first internet city, the region’s first e-government, the first 100% paperless government, and many other achievements, making Dubai a symbol of challenging the impossible.”

The Dubai Government Pavilion will serve as an example for a unified effort to drive innovation and embrace advanced technology integration across Physical services make people’s lives easier and happier.
“Our participation in the event every year is an important opportunity for Digital Dubai to launch its latest digital projects and initiatives, based on its role as a leader in Dubai’s comprehensive digital transformation to achieve Dubai’s Digital Goals 2030 Strategic Plan. We are also looking to develop new digital initiatives through Gitex Global Sharing the development of our services and projects with local, regional and international audiences has made significant progress in Dubai’s digital transformation and established its global leadership in sustainable digital transformation.”
In addition to Digital Dubai and its four constituent entities (Dubai Electronic Security Centre, Dubai Statistics Centre, Dubai Data Agency and Smart Dubai Government Agency), entities participating in the Dubai Government Joint Pavilion include 39 government and private entities namely: Dubai Land , Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Activities, Dubai Government Seminar, Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University, Dubai Media Corporation, Dubai Courts, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Public Prosecution Service, Dubai Ambulance Service, Ministry of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, Dubai Chambers.

Participating government agencies are: Dubai Sports Council, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Finance, DIFC-Dubai International Financial Centre, Mohammed bin Rashid Government Academy, Security Industry Regulatory Authority, Dubai Government Human Resources Department , Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Community Development Authority, Dubai Financial Market, Dubai Health Authority, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Agency, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority , Dubai Airport, Dubai Judicial Institute, Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, International Humanitarian City, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library, Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and Port Customs and free zone companies. The four private companies participating at the same time are: Cloudera, Huawei, Network International and Snowflake.
Gitex Global 2022 will review developments and trends in smart cities, cybersecurity, digital economy, mobility, healthcare and communications. The exhibition will showcase a large number of new product releases and highlight the development of 5G technology, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
