Broadband services provider PT Supra Primatama Nusantara, trading as Biznet Networks, has said that its fibre distribution network has reached more than 65,000km, with 1.6 million homes and 5,000 buildings/apartment blocks passed, spread across more than 180 cities in Java, Bali, Bangka, Batam, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Flores and Timor.

The ISP will continue to expand the network to meet pent up demand for internet/data-based services in the digital era. Biznet claims it is committed to building out a network that aims to reduce the digital divide in Indonesia. Biznet services are now available with more affordable packages starting from IDR250,000 (USD16.95) per month (Biznet Home Internet 0C, 30Mbps) for Java, Bali, Batam and Bangka Island, and marketed at the same price point as ‘Biznet Home Internet 0AS’ for Sumatra and Kalimantan Islands, albeit with a slower 20Mbps connections. However, the company notes that it is yet to launch the lower-cost service in the cities of Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Surabaya, Denpasar, and Kab. Badung.
