Pan-African fintech reaches 400 million mobile money wallets in Africa

Cynthia Ponera, the firm’s Regional Sales Director for East Africa said following the acquisition of Beyonic, the flagship business suite, MFS Africa leveraged on its Pan-African footprint, to bring digital traceability, control, and seamlessness to SMEs, enterprises, and impact organizations across Africa.

Hosting MFS Africa’s top clients in Tanzania at a recent partner engagement event, Ponera said: “These are exciting times for our partners. With MFS Africa Pan-African footprint, our East African partners can expect more accessibility and simpler ways to scale their services into more markets within the region through our digital payment solutions and vast network of global partners and infrastructure, making borders matter less.”

This means digital payments management toolbox is available to SMEs in more markets across Africa including Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. For these businesses, this is an opportunity to expand their markets and scale their services into more markets in Africa, without physical presence and full operations.

“Empowering businesses to centrally manage automated bulk collections or payments to/from their last-mile consumer through cashless payments that enable real-time business growth with quick, scalable options,” she said.

In the past few months, MFS Africa has been undertaking efforts to improve the seamlessness of our partners’ business journey and as part of this integration large and global enterprises will now be managed under the MFS Africa brand.

This will result in few changes taking effect during these two months.
