Disney kids channels go on Hrvatski Telekom

The Croatian incumbent Hrvatski Telekom (HT) will offer its MAXtv subscribers Disney Channel and Disney Junior from August 1.

This follows the renewal of an agreement between Walt Disney Company and HT, with the latter already distributing Fox, Fox Life, Fox Crime, Fox Movies, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, 24Kitchen and Baby TV. Along with Disney Channel and Disney Junior, they will be available through HT’s IPTV, DTH and OTT services.

Commenting on the development, Kakhaber Abashidze, senior VP, country manager and general manager at Disney Central and Eastern Europe, said: “Across Central and Eastern Europe we are deeply committed to linear channels. Our number one priority is to bring customers the stories they love and our linear channels continue to be a compelling destination – including our genre-defining factual entertainment channels National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild, our general entertainment Fox portfolio channels, as well as our popular kids and family channels Disney Channel and Disney Junior that launched in Croatia with HT as part of the renewed deal”.

Richard John Breskovic, residential marketing sector director, HT, added: “Great TV content is something that is always appreciated by the viewers and something we put special focus on. Our platforms, be it for top sports content, entertainment, informative, kids’ programs are recognized for providing the best TV content that is constantly enriched. Hence we are glad for these latest additions to our platforms, because if there is one brand name synonymous for entertainment it’s Disney”.
