Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, welcomed students from the American University of Kuwait (AUK) at its headquarters. The objective of the visit was to showcase and familiarize the soon to be graduates with the day-to-day activities and operations that take place in one of the leading telecom companies in Kuwait.
stc indicated that the visit, organized in collaboration with AUK, aimed to provide 30 students with a glimpse of the working environment at the Company. As part of the tour, stc’s Corporate Communications team in collaboration with the HR team provided students with insights on the Company’s extensive corporate social responsibility program. The team highlighted the cause-driven initiatives stc organized and participated in throughout the years that has addressed the most common topics within our key pillars, which are health, the environment, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and education. The team also highlighted the essential role the telecom sector plays in the country and its contribution to the economic growth and the digital transformation enablement as one of the most vital sectors that facilitate the digital strategies of the large and small enterprises as well as the SMEs.
The Human Resources team also hosted a session during the tour where they provided students with details regarding stc’s work culture and corporate values that every employee within stc family lives by in the day-to-day work. After touring the different departments at the Company, stc distributed giveaways to the students as a token of appreciation and wished them future success in their future career paths.
The tour of stc’s headquarters comes as one of several initiatives organized by stc to support educational institutions in Kuwait, as well as the younger generation. In line with one of the key pillars under its CSR framework, education, stc believes in the important role the future generation will play in developing and progressing the community.

It is worth mentioning, that stc has recently participated in a series of job fairs at local universities with the objective of attracting aspiring candidates who fit into the Company’s dynamic environment, as well as sponsored the national campaign ‘Safe Education’ with the aim to provide a safe and healthy environment for students in collaboration with the Ministries of Education, Health, Interior, and Information. stc was also the main sponsor of the graduation ceremony honoring students with physical disabilities that included students from 12 different schools for the first time in Kuwait as part of the “MOE” initiative to bring all students together under one roof to celebrate their success.
