Telia Lietuva claims it has become the first operator in Lithuania to offer fixed broadband speeds of up to 2Gbps. The new fibre-optic plan is available to business customers in the five cities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevezys, Alytus and Palanga. The 2Gbps business tariff is available for EUR109 per month on a 24 month contract.
Commenting on the launch, Daniel Karpovic, Telia Lietuva’s Business Customer Manager, said: ‘Lithuania has long been known as the country with the fastest internet. We would like to keep this achievement in mind and continue to move forward with technology. Telia’s business customers will be the first to try our twice as fast internet, which will help them gain a clear competitive advantage and technological leadership.’
