Telecom tower company Vantage Towers has signed a long-term contract with German operator 450connect to allow the company to use its masts infrastructure to set up a 4G and 5G network.
The 450connect network will use frequencies in the 450MHz bands awarded to the company by the Federal Network Agency last year until 2040.
The company aims to start to operate the 450MHz platform nationwide by 2025. 450connect earlier picked Nokia to build its LTE450 network and supply radio system equipment including central technology, radio stations, microwave radio links for the backhaul network, and power back-up systems.
