Altice France, which provides services under the brand name SFR, has revealed that coverage of its 5G network now reaches 52% of the population.
Gregory Rabuel, Chairman and CEO of Altice France, told BFM Business that SFR’s 5G services are present in the 32 largest cities of France. SFR claimed the launch of France’s first commercial 5G mobile network services in Nice in November 2020, following the completion of the country’s 3500MHz 5G spectrum allocation process. By the end of that month the coverage was expanded to 120 locations in Bordeaux, Marseille, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice and Paris-Ile-de-France.
