The TMT sector (telecommunications, media, technology) contributed significantly to last year's record on the Polish mergers and acquisitions market. This year, there will also be acquisitions in the technology industry. The Polish branch of the French company Inetum is preparing for one of them. It is waiting for the consent of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) to take control of the JSPV company, and indirectly, inter alia, over the JCommerce company. The parties do not comment on the planned transaction.
Employing 27,000 IT employees in 26 countries Inetum specializes in digital transformation, providing comprehensive services, including for banks, insurance, and telecommunications companies. Its revenues in 2020 amounted to €1.97 billion (approximately PLN 8.9 billion). This is an increase of 23.2 percent y/y, with a decrease in net profit by half to €21.2 million.
"The strategic goal of Inetum Polska is to increase the share of the Inetum capital group in the IT market in Central and Eastern Europe, including in particular the IT services market for the banking, trade and IT sector in the Republic of Poland, which is one of the key markets for the group,” the company informed.
