Telecom Italia (TIM) has published its roadmap for the gradual switch-off of its 3G networks. The first sites will start to be decommissioned in April, with the shutdown due to be completed by the end of the year.
TIM plans to use the free spectrum to support 4G and 5G services. The firm is contacting customers with older SIM cards to inform them of their options once the 3G network is shut down in their area.
