Among Poles over 15 years of age, 92.9 percent used a mobile phone, and 70.5 percent used the Internet in 2019, according to the "Public opinion poll on the functioning of the telecommunications services market and consumer preferences", carried out by the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE).
"The largest number of internet users has mobile access on the phone (91.2 percent), the second is fixed-line internet, which is used by four out of ten internet service users (39.7 percent). On the other hand, mobile internet (other than on the phone) is used by 14,4 percent of this group of respondents," the report reads.
Moreover, 47.2 percent of respondents used pay cable or satellite television.
According to the report, 67.4 percent of mobile phone owners use them on the Internet. Among the youngest groups of respondents (15-24 and 25-34 years old), the percentage of people using the Internet on the phone increases to over 94 percent. The Internet on the phone is used by nearly 90 percent of people with higher education, while among Poles with vocational education, this service is used by slightly more than half.
