Full-service provider Magenta Telekom, which was formed in 2019 from the merger of wireless operator T-Mobile Austria and cableco UPC Austria, has upgraded its fixed broadband plans by introducing a new entry-level speed tariff and by lowering the price of its top speed tariffs.
The new entry-level plan now offers up to 100Mbps download (previously 40Mbps) and up to 20Mbps upload speeds (previously 8Mbps) for EUR32 (EUR36) per month. On the other side of the spectrum, the cost of the fastest tariff with speeds of up to 1Gbps has been reduced from EUR100 to EUR80 per month and the cost of the 500Mbps plan has fallen from EUR60 to EUR49. According to the firm, almost 40% of new Magenta customers take 250Mbps or faster fixed broadband tariff plans.
