Vodafone launches service operations in Oman

Vodafone Oman announced the launch of its service operations in the sultanate under the patronage of H H Sayyid Azzan Kais Tarik al Said.

“Connecting for a better future is our company’s purpose. We set out to be the pioneers of digital innovation and sustainable growth in our community,” said Bader Zidi, CEO of Vodafone Oman, announcing the launch.

“Our main objective is to advance digital progress, initially by bringing next-generation 5G network and cloud service and then subsequently going into ecosystems that reach far beyond telecommunication. Vodafone is positioned as Oman’s premier technology company, digitalising lifestyles and society.”

Vodafone brings the best of the world to the sultanate in a relevant and uniquely Omani way. Even before the launch, meaningful in-country value was delivered through employment (95 per cent Omanisation) and a local partnership ecosystem across key sectors.

The company’s focus is on giving opportunities to small and medium enterprises and the country’s youth.

According to Diego Massidda, CEO of Vodafone Partner Markets and Vodafone Carrier Services, consumers will benefit from unmatched global services such as roaming, international calling and ‘next-generation digital applications’.

Vodafone’s brand positioning, under the slogan ‘Together We Can’, emphasises how people, connectivity and technology can address the challenges faced individually and as a society. It demonstrates the company’s belief that the partnership between technology and society can build a better future.

Big Data Analytics and extensive market research tell us that customers want radically different, innovative and transparent products. I am excited to unveil our 77 launch offer, the first-of-its-kind offering with attractive global features to benefit our customers,” said Jan Holzberg, commercial director of Vodafone Oman.

Vodafone’s launch offer includes 77GB of data, 777 local voice minutes and 777 local SMS for a period of 77 days. Customers can avail the benefits in Oman and on Vodafone networks worldwide at no extra cost. The full period of 77 days is available for a one-time payment of RO9. The offer is valid until January 31, 2022.

Vodafone has been available since Thursday across the sultanate through the My Vodafone Application on Google Play Store and the App Store and in more than 3,500 outlets across Oman. The full list can be found on www.vodafone.om
