Viewers in Latvia will now be able to watch five channels from the Polish public broadcaster TVP.
According to Press.pl, they include TVP Wilno, TVP World and Biesat TV.
It adds that the move follows an agreement between Latvia’s Ministry of Culture and TVP and is designed to both counter disinformation and to acknowledge the presence of Poles living in Latvia.
The channels will also be aimed at Russian and English language speakers. A number of TVP channels can already be received terrestrially in neighbouring Lithuania.
