Canal+ has selected ADB’s graphyne3 pay-TV management system and STB client software to launch its next generation of service to its subscribers in Poland.
The new solution offers an upgrade to currently deployed set-top boxes to the most up-to-date functionality. This includes catch-up TV, restart and access to a vast number of online video libraries and streaming applications such as Netflix, with other SVOD services soon to follow. All these are on top of traditional satellite pay-TV, using a modern graphyne3 UX framework.
The new service will first be available to some subscribers using UHD Canal+ STBs as a pilot deployment which starts in December this year. In Q1 2022, all users of UHD set-top boxes should receive the update to the new functionalities and Canal+ online user experience.

Artur Przybysz, VP of the management board for sales at Canal+ Polska, added: “Canal+ subscribers will soon get access to the modern solutions that combine traditional TV service with the world of VOD. This is a gigantic and important step for us, which will extend the functionalities of our top set-top boxes, and completely change the TV experience”.
