The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) signed here on Wednesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of telecommunication and information technology (IT).
The MoU was signed by Eng Said Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Eng Abdullah Amer Al Swaha, KSA Minister of Communication and Information Technology.
The MoU stipulates cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, investment in digital economy, fostering talents and IT.
It also covers the scope of cooperation in exchanging best practices and experts, as well as participating in meetings, joint work sessions and implementing joint programmes and initiatives.
The MoU will include a training programme for 1,000 participants in the areas of cybersecurity, digital transformation, web development, python programming and the internet of things (IoT).
Additionally, 25,000 participants will benefit from the Digital Giving Webinar. --ONA
