Orange plans to launch a new DTH platform in Slovakia in partnership with Canal+.
Zive reports that this will be following the closure of its existing service, which it stopped selling to new customers at the beginning of this year.
It will try to migrate existing ones to its IPTV service, with those unable to receive it being offered the new DTH service operated jointly with Canal+.
This, according to Martin Hromkovic, director of B2C marketing and Orange brand, “will bring richer content and more functionalities for customers”.
Orange is one of the leading providers of pay-TV services in Slovakia, with 148,000 subscribers as of the end of Q2.
Canal+ is already present in the Slovak market through its subsidiary M7 Group, which operates the DTH platforms Skylink and freeSAT.
