SpeedChecker, the mobile crowdsourcing company released a new report on the performance of mobile networks in the United Arab Emirates. This report is part of an ongoing commitment from SpeedChecker to benchmark true user experience. The SpeedChecker report has been compiled using data from 37,001 unique mobile devices performing 47,527 tests in 2 weeks in June 2021.
Our results and comparison with our last report in December 2020 show that average download speeds have increased by 15% but customers upgrading to 5G phones should see speeds double. This is reflected in Abu Dhabi being the capital city with the 3rd fastest 5G network and the United Arab Emirates being in the top 10 countries for 5G speeds.
Speeds are excellent across the UAE and this can only improve as Etisalat plans to deploy 5G high-band in the UAE.
