Azerbaijan state-owned operator AzTelekom has upgraded its Alcatel 1000 S-12 telephone exchanges to a modern IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) platform.
The company has announced the new systems have been installed and tested in Baku and Yevlakh as part of a modernisation programme begun in 2019. It noted the switch to IMS technology will provide subscribers with better quality communication services.
