DITO Telecommunity chief administration officer Adel A Tamano has announced that the company’s plan to launch a commercial fixed broadband service next year is on track, revealing that it is now carrying out a ‘friendly user test’ of the service. In an interview with BusinessWorld Live, Tamano confirmed DITO’s plan, adding: ‘At the latest perhaps, maybe sometime early next year, we will be entering the broadband space’.
TeleGeography notes that, ahead of the newcomer’s mobile service launch in March 2021, Tamano told journalists that the start-up was considering offering home broadband services hinting: ‘We plan to offer home broadband services next year’.
