Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has signed a partnership agreement with General Electric (GE) Digital, a leading industrial software company, to implement Aviation Software Asset Records solutions.
With the help from the GE Digital, Saudia can simplify the process of managing its records through the Flight Programs Asset Records system, which provides a single cloud-based solution, and manages to digitize, index and archive all maintenance records and match these records with the associated maintenance and engineering services system.
Commenting on the agreement, Ahmed Al-Wasiyah, executive vice president of operations at Saudia, said: “Saudia places innovation at the top of its aircraft fleet and operations priorities, so the partnership with GE will enable us to shift toward simple and digital solutions for managing aircraft asset records."
He added that that full digital interfaces providing access to aircraft log archives with ease of switching between multiple features and different data are essential components of an integrated approach to fleet expansion and modernization.
For his part, general manager of aviation programs at GE Digital Andrew Coleman said that this contract culminates in an important partnership for our company, considering SAUDIA as one of the largest airlines in the region, and this agreement culminates as an example for other companies seeking to prospect the future of the aviation sector.
