Trooli confirms FTTP network passes 100,000 premises

UK-based pure fibre provider Trooli has announced a milestone in the rollout of its fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network, which now covers a total of 100,000 properties across parts of Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent and Wiltshire. According to ISPreview, the company – which reported more than 70,000 premises in March 2021 – added a further 30,000 homes and businesses to its network footprint in the last four months, thanks to expansion works in Berkshire, East Sussex and Kent. It is understood that Trooli aims to pass a further 30,000 premises in 3Q21, with its reach expected to expand into parts of East Anglia (specifically Suffolk), while looking further ahead the operator is targeting 170,000 premises passed by end-2021, 400,000 by December 2022 and one million in 2024.

Commenting on the network rollout, Trooli’s CEO Andy Conibere said: ‘I am delighted that we continue the trend of exceeding our homes passed target. And we do this while consolidating our position as the leading independent provider of full fibre in rural Kent and growing our presence across the South. These new extensions make us available to homes and businesses around Wraysbury and Ascot in Berkshire, Lewes and Heathfield in East Sussex, and includes over 14,500 premises around Hythe, Kemsing and Whitstable in Kent. We are committed to maintaining our build momentum in these areas and are also excited to be launching in Suffolk.’
