Sky has announced the launch of its fastest-ever service, complete with a speed guarantee.
The operator says the 500Mb/s package is designed for multiple devices connected to home broadband, and for those who work from home.
The new package will only be available to those customers receiving Sky Broadband through FTTP (Fibre to the Premises). Sky Broadband’s Speed Guarantee means customers can claim a month’s subscription back if your speed falls below the minimum guaranteed speed of 400 Mb/s.
“Today’s Ultrafast Plus launch reflects our commitment to providing customers with the fastest and most reliable broadband speeds possible,” said Aman Bhatti, Director of Propositions at Sky Broadband. “This is why Ultrafast Plus comes with the UK’s fastest Speed Guarantee, so our customers can game, stream, download and work from home seamlessly.”
Sky launched its fibre-to-the-home service last November. It’s available to approximately 7 million households.
Virgin Media’s highest speed is 1 Gb/s, double that of Sky, but not available across its entire network.
