Saudi Telecom Company (stc) in cooperation with Amazon.sa today announced a new innovative feature called Mobile Recharges, offering customers with prepaid “Sawa” numbers the ability to recharge their mobile phone credit directly on Amazon.sa or Amazon App.
The Mobile Recharges feature was made available through a collaborative partnership between stc and Amazon.sa. The Mobile Recharges service was developed to ensure a quick, easy, and convenient contactless payment experience to customers 24 hours a day in both English and Arabic languages on Amazon.sa. Customers can select the mobile recharge option on the Amazon app or www.amazon.sa website, then enter their ‘”Sawa’” mobile number and seamlessly complete transactions electronically via a debit card, credit card, or with an Amazon.sa Gift Card. Alternatively, when recharging on behalf of a friend or family member, customers can simply enter the phone number and then the desired recharge amount.
Eng. Faisal AlAtig, Chief Executive Officer of channels by stc, the selling and distribution arm of stc group, said: “The launch of the Mobile Recharges service through Amazon.sa is a valuable addition to the set of digital features and services that the group offers to provide a unique customer experience. Partnerships of this caliber reiterate our leading position in the digital sales and distribution field, as well as our commitment to creating and innovating new channels for sales and distribution.”
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa (MENA), said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to simplify our customers’ everyday needs in Saudi Arabia and deliver the best possible experience to them. The launch of “Sawa” Mobile Recharges on Amazon.sa reinforces our constant commitment toward offering easy and convenient services to customers in Saudi Arabia. This is also the first in a series of steps to simplify payment needs for our customers.”
