In 2024, Orange Polska plans to have 8 million households within the reach of the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) - said the president of Orange, Julien Ducarroz, during the presentation of the new Group strategy for 2021-2024.
Currently, there are 5.2 million households within the group's optical fiber range.
The new four-year plan strategic plan, named 'Grow', sees the company shift its focus to growth and monetising the investments of recent years.
"We want to develop our fiber optic potential. We have created a new FiberCo joint venture. This is our partner in the development of infrastructure on the wholesale market. It is a partner of Orange and other companies. We allocate part of our already built network to this company. We have acquired an external financial investor. This partnership will allow us to continue this investment. In 2024, we want to reach 8 million households, i.e. by 60 percent. more than now," said the president.
"Optical fibre, mobile services, convergence – this is what we will build on. The super-fast and efficient fibre-optic network that Orange Polska has built in recent years is the basis for the further development of convergent home services. For many – especially recently – home has become an office, place of study, and entertainment centre. It is the needs related to the home that will be the foundation of Orange’s offer for individual customers. Home services packages based on optical fibre and convergence will remain the basis of the offer," he added.
