The OTT platform Megogo has made discovery+ available to its subscribers in Latvia.
The move follows last December’s announcement of a strategic partnership between Discovery and Megogo in 13 East European and Asian markets.
Commenting on the launch, Ekaterina Mihajlovic, distribution and business development director Discovery North Eastern Europe & Turkey, said: “It’s a great moment for us to announce that our partnership with Megogo expands to Latvia and that now, besides the 13 markets we have launched discovery+ on our partner’s platform earlier this year, we will also bring our great content library for Megogo users in Latvia. It’s been a great year so far, with five discovery+ launches in six months in our region, and it’s great to see that more and more viewers have access now to our premium documentaries, entertainment, reality-shows and sports”.

discovery+ will offer content both from its global franchises and originals. Viewers will also be able to see shows from the brand’s Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, ID, Discovery Science, Food Network, Travel Channel and Eurosport.
Megogo subscribers will have access to thousands of hours of VOD and many top sports content on Eurosport 1 HD and Eurosport 2 HD. VOD programmes will cover key documentary and entertainment library broadcasts.
For the first time Megogo users will also see premium Discovery documentary content in 4K, and sports fans will receive even more matches live and reviews of premium sporting events from Eurosport, in particular Roland Garros, the Australian Open, the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and more.
The cost of viewing will be €1.99 and made possible with a discovery+ subscription on Megogo.
