Nepal Telecom’s FTTH service is now available in 101 local levels of 52 districts. Now the service has almost 150K subscribers around the country.
The state-owned telecom operator has accelerated its FTTH expansion while they have also started replacing its dated ADSL service for high-speed fiber internet service. According to the telco, new customers increased by an average of 500 before the COVID-19 lockdown. But the restrictions have not dissuaded the public from installing the next-gen fiber net. Despite lockdown, Nepal Telecom has added at least 50 FTTH customers every day. NTC has added the highest number of fiber customers in the pandemic period.
So far, 1 lakh 48 thousand 714 customers have Connected NTC’s Fiber to the home plan, as per Nepal Telecom’s Data.

The telecom operator has the highest number of FTTH subscribers in Bagmati Province while Karnali has the lowest. Check the table below for the breakdown of FTTH subscribers in each province.
NTC’s FTTH utilizing optical fiber delivers high-speed and reliable connections to meet today’s bandwidth demands. Adding to that, Fiber also helps NTC diversify its range of services to the customers.
Nepal Telecom has initiated Triple Play service in Kathmandu which provides voice calls, IPTV, and internet service over the same cable. This TV service is under expansion to all parts of the country.
