WebMoney Transfer, a global settlement system and environment for online business activities, provided the owners of P-purses in rubles with the opportunity to go through full identification using the Beeline Mobile-ID service.
The service can be accessed by citizens of the Russian Federation, said a statement.
According to George Held, Executive Vice President for Digital and New Business Development, VimpelCom PJSC, the Mobile-ID service is one of the revolutionary cross-operator products that not only allows the customer to speed up the identification process but also significantly secure it, since identification only occurs by phone number.
Mobile ID is a tool developed based on Mobile Connect technology. The technology was created by the mobile communications association that coordinates the development – GSMA. Mobile Connect is an international project aimed at creating a unified standard for digital authentication and identification based on a subscriber number.
"From the point of view of personal data protection, Mobile ID has virtually no analogs, and quite recently we even signed the first agreements with its help. Among Beeline subscribers, more than half a million people already use this authorization method, and we are glad that now WebMoney customers will have this opportunity. I am sure that Mobile ID has great prospects and shortly we will tell you about the connection of several large companies to it," George said.
"You can verify your identity at any convenient place and regardless of the time of day if you have a phone with Internet access. To do this, you need to obtain a Formal Passport through the website or the WebMoney Keeper mobile application in advance. Then submit an application and follow the instructions that will be sent in the form of push notifications to the phone and WebMoney Keeper," said the statement.
