Working with the country’s infrastructure provider Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud), mobile operator MTS Belarus has announced the launch of LTE-800 services in the Mogilev region.
In a press update, MTS confirmed the switch-on in 100 settlements, boosting total 4G coverage to 90% of people living in the region, including remote rural villages, suburbs, regional centres and major transport highways. Having already deployed LTE-800 services in the Gomel region, the company aims to add the Minsk and Vitebsk regions before the end of 2021, with full 800MHz coverage of Belarus slated for 2023.
