TalkTalk launches FTTP-based plans in Ipswich

British broadband provider TalkTalk has announced the launch of broadband services based on fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) technology in the town of Ipswich. According to the operator, the expansion of its full fibre offerings there is being undertaken in conjunction with infrastructure owners CityFibre and Openreach. Residents in Ipswich can now sign up for one of TalkTalk’s FTTP-based plans, with its top tier offering – ‘Fibre 500’ – costing GBP35 (USD48.8) per month for a plan which offers average download speeds of 506Mbps.

Commenting, Jonathan Kini, Managing Director of TalkTalk Direct Business and Consumer, said: ‘We believe fast, affordable, full fibre broadband should be accessible to all. This has been brought into even sharper focus by culture changes resulting from the pandemic. We’re thrilled that people across Ipswich can now benefit from the UK’s latest fibre technology thanks to our new Future Fibre packages.’
