Three mobile phone operators purchased 27.4 megahertz of spectrum from the government at around Tk 7,616 crore amid intense bidding between Grameenphone and Robi Axiata for several hours in an auction.
The leading mobile phone operator, GP, purchased the last block of 5 MHz of spectrum in the 2100 MHz spectrum band at a record $46.75 million for a MHz for 15 years at the 81st round of bidding with Robi.
