ICTA partners with Adage Digital to facilitate awareness creation

The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and Adage Digital a subsidiary of Adage Consulting Pvt Ltd has partnered to support Sri Lanka’s aspirations for Digital Transformation.

ICTA and Adage Digital will collaborate towards the design and implementation of a comprehensive awareness and capacity building program for the citizens of Sri Lanka. A specific focus on digital transformation of the public sector including re-engineering processes to ensure an effective uptake of digital mechanisms. The collaboration will also implement initiatives to bridge the ‘Capacity Building’ ensuring an inclusive digital transformation that leaves no one behind. The partnership will leverage the capacity of Facebook pages such E Government Knowledge Hub, Digital Education, Government E Learning Platform, SSC Sri Lanka and Suhuruliya to facilitate awareness creation initiate through social media for capacity building and support ICTA’s institutional strengthening and realignment to lead an effective digital transformation and digital government services agenda in Sri Lanka.

The transformational agenda will utilize design thinking approaches such as human centered design in the development and implementation of these initiatives to ensure the people of Sri Lanka are the central focus of the transformation. Human centered design is an approach that develops solutions to problems by involving the human or user’s perspective in every step of the problem-solving process. Adage Digital will lend its expertise on such approaches to the digital transformation agenda to ensure a citizen centric digital transformation.

Through these initiative, ICTA focuses on increasing the understanding of all aspects of digital transformation process, increase knowledge of effective ways to manage transformation, and transform services into digital services. These initiatives will also increase citizen empowerment through effective use of digital technologies which also includes government service efficiency and effectiveness through actively engaging with Government’s digital transformation effort.

The whole goal behind this partnership is to make citizens aware on digital transformation, digital government services and attitudes transformation, existing and future technologies and opportunities.

Commenting on the partnership Mrs Gayathri Srirajendrarajah of Adage Digital states “As the physical, digital, and biological worlds continue to converge, new technologies and platforms will increasingly enable citizens to engage with governments, voice their opinions, coordinate their efforts, and even circumvent the supervision of public authorities“.

Adage Digital is committed to supporting national digital transformation agendas for social and economic good of the country.

As an immediate next step to the signing, ICTA and Adage Digital will work together to carry out social media campaigns for the citizens within the system and design interventions that can be rolled out to strengthen the digital framework.
