Bulgaria’s Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has confirmed that it will make 5G-capable spectrum in the 3.6GHz band available via tender – and soon.
As reported by CommsUpdate, the telecom authority will conduct the tender process on the 3rd March 2021, with interested parties required to submit their bids by 25th February.
Three licences will be made available, each of which will grant its holder one unpaired 100MHz block of 3.6GHz spectrum. The permits will be valid for 20 years, with the reserve price for each concession set at BGN4 million (US$2.5 million).
