Egypt-based pharma delivery platform Chefaa is among the 10 MENA startups that have joined Google’s regional startup accelerator. Ten tech startups from six Arab countries spanning the e-commerce, fintech, health, education, and travel sectors have been accepted onto the program, Google said recently with Chefaa being the only Egyptian firm to make the list.
Chefaa was founded in 2017 and has held two successful funding rounds, raising six figures (USD) from Flat6Labs and 500Startups in a seed round in 2019 and closing a seven-figure USD pre-series A round last year.
The company operates an AI-powered platform for buying pharma products, which allows customers to scan their prescriptions, locate their nearest pharmacies and order meds online.
