The number of internet subscribers in the country marginally dropped in November compared to the previous two months, according to data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
The number of internet subscribers stood at 110.561 million at the end of November, declining from both 111.134 million in September and 110.762 million in October, BTRC data shows.
The telecom regulator, however, didn’t provide any explanation behind the decrease in the country’s internet subscriber base.
As of November, of the internet users, 101.905 million accessed services from mobile devices and 8.656 million from broadband, according to the data.
Bangladesh has witnessed an internet boom riding on the back of the fast-growing mobile usage and the government's push for digitalisation.
