Starlink, the broadband satellite internet service of SpaceX, is expected to launch in Greece in the first quarter of next year.
A report from Kathimerini says that the firm has already applied for a licence from the National Telecommunications & Post Commission (Ethniki Epitropi Tilepikoinonion kai Tachydromeion, EETT).
The Starlink service will have a nationwide footprint and offer download speeds of up to 150Mbps. While existing Greek ISPs such as Cosmote use VDSL to provide speeds of up to 200Mbps, there are many areas which lack coverage.
