STS, the leading provider of digital transformation, information systems, and integrated Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) solutions in Jordan and the region, is set to upgrade JEPCO's internal computer network, thus paving the way for digital transformation and new electronic services.
This upgrade will allow JEPCO to save costs, improve internal processes, employ futuristic smart applications, and digitally transform many of its services into advanced, improved, fast, and efficient solutions for a superior digital customer experience.
This infrastructure will be upgraded by replacing over 200 devices (such as switches, routers, and network protection systems) with more advanced technology using Cisco technologies. The network will be designed in line with the requirements of JEPCO's IT team and its information security and protection policies.
Offering these solutions stems from STS's adoption of digital transformation strategies and its commitment to employ information technologies and advanced solutions to support institutions and companies in Jordan and the region. Furthermore, STS carries national efforts to create a digital and intelligent economy encompassing advanced, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions for service providers and beneficiaries alike. JEPCO's upgrade complements other pioneering STS projects over the years, such as the smart government platform, the optic fiber network, and the secure government network to name a few.
Mohammed Jaber, Commercial Sales Manager at STS, is proud of the company’s key role in embodying JEPCO's digital transformation strategies aimed at meeting the smart needs of customers, especially in light of the current era’s rapidly-changing lifestyles affecting almost all segments of society. Jaber reiterated
STS’s commitment to tap into its expertise and leverage its partnerships built and maintained over more than three decades to implement successful strategies for its clients across different industries.
"JEPCO is using the latest technologies with the goal of improving subscriber services, and gradually adopting virtual channels to easily communicate with customers 24 hours a day in line with international best practices in the field. This upgrade complements the adoption of SAP and smart meters aimed at achieving JEPCO's objectives and ensuring its excellence at the local and global levels," commented Said Shamia, head of JEPCO's Information Technology Department.
