Accenture implements SAP at clients in Sri Lanka and Thailand

In Thailand, the global consulting and technology giant is helping chemical producer Indorama Ventures with the design, development and deployment of SAP S/4HANA. The project is part of Indorama Ventures’ overarching digital transformation agenda, which aims at helping the company streamline its processes across its presence in 35 countries, digitise operations and ease the integration of new/add-on platforms.

“We needed one ERP system across all our platforms, so we chose SAP S/4HANA to bring together different processes across all the parts of our business,” explained Deepak Parikh, the chief strategy officer of Indorama Ventures

Abhishek Kahol, a managing director at Accenture and who has been involved in dozen of such large scale ERP implementations, added: “This move to a single company-wide ERP solution is a huge step forward. It will position Indorama Ventures to scale globally, create cost efficiencies and lay the foundation for future digital capabilities.”

The new SAP S/4HANA system, hosted on the Microsoft Azure, will enable Indorama Ventures to “embrace industry best practices,” said Kahol. Meanwhile, the roll-out of SAP Customer Experience, SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur solutions will help improve the management of customer experiences, its human resources capabilities, and time and expense management for its 25,000 employees worldwide.

In Sri Lanka, apparel manufacturer Brandix called in consultants from Accenture to support the consolidation of all of its human resources (HR) processes into a single technology platform. As a central hub for the company’s HR services, Brandix new platform brings together real-time data and consolidates processes to provide employees with a modern digital experience that is user and mobile-friendly.

The new platform – which recently went live – has been built on the SAP SuccessFactors platform, and has helped Brandix eliminated paper-based HR processes, enabled the integration of electronic records, the introduction of an online learning management system and the automation of its performance management system. The new platform has also helped enhance Brandix’s talent management, succession, and learning and development processes.

Ashroff Omar, Group Chief Executive Officer of Brandix said. “Our successful transition to a state-of-the-art HR platform is a testament to the willingness of our people to embrace change and adapt in ways to future-ready our operations. I look forward to leveraging our best practices in HR to energize our people to deliver inspired solutions to our customers.”

A team of Accenture consultants including SAP, digital and change management consultants delivered the project. Project leader Suvasish Mohapatra said that with the enhanced technology on board, Brandix is “help boost productivity and improve the employee experience,” down the line “better positioning to grow and succeed in a highly disruptive environment.”

Verena Siow, managing director of SAP Southeast Asia, and Aaron Green, who leads SAP SuccessFactors in Asia Pacific and Japan, both expressed their delight with Indorama Ventures and Brandix turning to SAP as the core infrastructure for driving their digital transformation roadmaps.
