IBM Services will now implement a Big Data Platform based on the open-source Hadoop framework to help Vodafone Idea (Vi) improve customer experience.
The telecom company, VI offers products and services to its customers in India under the brand name Vi. For more than a decade, IBM is an IT partner with Vodafone Idea, notes the announcement.
As a part of the partnership, IBM will improve Vodafone Idea’s network security. IBM will be also responsible for consulting, program management, application operations, infrastructure services systems integration, and maintenance support.

IBM and Vi Partnership
IBM will also help Vodafone Idea to reduce the overall cost of data analytics. IBM will also transform the way data is optimized and delivered to employees, partners, and internal systems. This means that fragmented, siloed data can now be streamlined for seamless availability and reduction in the operational complexities.
The telecom firm will be able to combine insights from the big data platform and better leverage cloud-native technologies and Artificial Intelligence to boost revenue and improve customer experiences, notes the announcement.
