Ratcheting up its content offering with what it is says will be a roster of quality TV movie, documentaries and TV series, Netgem TV is to offer the W4Free advertiser-supported streaming service on its online TV platform.
W4free and its Watch4 sister service are advertiser-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) portals for free use. In addition to a selection of arthouse and independent film and TV series, they offer viewers documentaries across and sports broadcasts - as well as a variety of videos from the lifestyle, comedy and automotive sectors.
Watch4 was launched in 2018 and is available in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland on mobile devices and via Apple TV, Swisscom TV Box and Sky Ticket. W4free and Watch4 are owned by Zug Switzerland’s Video Solutions. W4free launched in the UK 2019 with Sky Media selling advertising.
W4Free joins Premier Sports, LaLigaTV and 20 other linear channels added to the Netgem TV service in 2020.
