SFR Caraibe has commercially launched a 4G LTE-A service, called ‘4G Max’, with download speeds of 800Mbps in the town of Saint-Laurent du Maroni (French Guiana), actu-medias.info writes. The theoretical speeds are achieved via the aggregation of three frequency bands (800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz), in addition to the deployment of 4×4 MIMO and 256QAM technologies. 4G Max is currently available to SFR Caraibe customers in Cayenne, Kourou and Saint-Laurent du Maroni.
