Altice Dominicana, the Dominican Republic’s second largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers, has announced that it has activated VoLTE functionality for users with 4G SIM cards and compatible handsets.
Altice’s LTE networks currently cover 98% of the country. The full-service telco, which was created in November 2017 via the merger between Orange Dominicana and Tricom, ended December 2019 with 3.072 million mobile subscribers, down from 3.394 million one year earlier.
